Privacy Policy

Last updated: [TO CONFIRM: effective date]

Lubbers & Associates, LLC ("Lubbers & Associates," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

This policy covers our website. If you are an advisory client, the handling of your nonpublic personal financial information is separately governed by our Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (Regulation S-P) privacy notice. You can review it here: Financial Privacy Notice (PDF). Where the two documents differ with respect to client financial information, the Financial Privacy Notice controls.

Information You Give Us

We collect information you choose to provide, primarily through our contact form and through direct correspondence. This includes:

  • Your full name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you provide it
  • Your preferred contact method
  • Any comment, question, or other information you include in your message

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, account numbers, dates of birth, or detailed health or financial information through the website contact form. If we need that information, we will collect it through a secure channel.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit this site, our web server and content management system automatically record standard technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used for site security, troubleshooting, and understanding general site performance.

Cookies

This website uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies. Our content management system (Joomla) sets a session cookie so the site functions correctly as you move between pages. This cookie expires when you close your browser.

[TO CONFIRM: as of this review, the site does not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or other third-party tracking scripts. If analytics or ad tracking is added before launch, this section and the "Third-Party Content" section must be updated, and a cookie consent banner should be considered.]

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of this site to stop working as intended.

Third-Party Content Embedded on This Site

Our Contact page embeds an interactive map provided by Google Maps. When that map loads, Google may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not control and are not responsible for Google's data practices.

Our site also links to the Blueleaf client portal. Blueleaf is a separate service operated by a third party and is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and schedule a complimentary consultation
  • Provide, administer, and improve the services you request
  • Send you information about products, services, or planning topics that may be relevant to you
  • Maintain records required by insurance carriers and by federal and state regulators
  • Protect the security and integrity of our website and our business
  • Comply with applicable law, subpoenas, and regulatory examinations

Phone, Email, and Text (SMS) Communications

By submitting our contact form, you consent to receive communications from us, including emails, phone calls, and text/SMS messages, at the contact information you provide.

  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with us.
  • Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of future messaging. Reply HELP for assistance.
  • You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting our office.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop service or transactional communications related to an existing policy or account.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Insurance carriers and product providers — when you ask us to obtain a quote, submit an application, or service a policy.
  • Our affiliate — Ellija Capital Management, LLC, where you engage us for services involving investment advisory work. Sharing of client financial information is governed by our Financial Privacy Notice.
  • Service providers — vendors that host our website, deliver email, or provide similar operational support, under obligations to protect the information they handle.
  • Professionals you direct us to work with — such as your CPA or attorney, with your authorization.
  • Legal and regulatory — when required by law, court order, subpoena, or regulatory examination, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Data Security

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including secured files and facilities and access controls that comply with applicable federal requirements. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email and web forms are not secure channels for sensitive personal data.

Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy our recordkeeping obligations under applicable insurance and securities regulations, and for a reasonable period afterward. Inquiries that do not become client relationships are retained only as long as needed for follow-up and legitimate business purposes.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You may:

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete information we are not required to retain
  • Opt out of marketing emails, calls, and text messages

Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws may have additional rights. Note that financial institutions and information subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act are exempt from many of those state laws. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Do Not Track

This website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because we do not track visitors across third-party websites.

This site contains links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.

Changes to This Policy
